We are seeking a Packaging Station Manager who is organised, responsive and thorough, with solid experience in managing a sorting, packing or packaging station for fresh agricultural products (ideally fruit or vegetables).
The ideal candidate will be able to guarantee product quality, effective team management and efficient packaging operations in compliance with hygiene and safety standards and commercial deadlines.
5 years of higher education in agri-food, industrial production, or equivalent
Significant experience in a similar position in a packaging plant
Operational management and team management skills
Proficiency in production monitoring and traceability tools
Knowledge of quality standards (HACCP, BRC, IFS, etc.)
Organisational skills, rigour, responsiveness and leadership
Proficiency in IT tools (Excel, ERP, production software)
To do their job successfully, packaging station managers must:
Organise, plan and supervise receiving, sorting, packaging and shipping operations
Supervise production teams (line managers, operators, seasonal workers): team planning, leadership, working time management
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards and health and safety rules
Monitor performance indicators (yields, productivity, scrap rates, etc.)
Optimise production flows and ensure that equipment is working properly
Participate in the maintenance and preventive maintenance of facilities with the technical department
Collaborate with the logistics, quality, maintenance and production departments
Manage stocks of consumables (packaging, labels, etc.)
Propose continuous improvement actions (quality, performance, traceability)
